Another month goes by and I realise the benefit generally of good food but why why why do I get links like this in the National Foundation for Cancer Research newsletter?
------------------------------------------------- Braised Red Cabbage with Apples Searching for a palatable change for your next family meal? Try http://www2.nfcr.org/site/R?i=X-ujk8G-05d_u8cclc8l9Q.. Braised Red Cabbage with Apples for a healthy side-dish. Cabbage is an excellent source of vitamins A, B1 (thiamin), B2 (riboflavin), C and B6 (pyridoxine), fiber, manganese, and folate. Tossing in slices of Granny Smith apples boosts this dish's health benefits and gives it a delightful sweet and tart taste. Apples are a low-calorie fruit, high in dietary fiber and a good source of vitamin C. Skip the boring side dishes and serve Braised Red Cabbage with Apples tonight. Download the Braised Red Cabbage with Apples recipe by clicking HERE. http://www2.nfcr.org/site/R?i=JUgF4l31m-rcQINzJLnRWg.. ------------ Do you know what I want in that newsletter a url that looks like this http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org Please Dave [Edit 3 times, last edit by David Autumns at Mar 20, 2007 2:40:50 PM] |

Some institutions simple wont, some known to have endorsed other projects, work with other projects or, do not want to express any prevalence. Would though be great if they would..... now why did this remind me of a Richard Prior movie..... was it Vote for the Above?

Hi Sek,
----------------------------------------(Diana thanks for your support, much appreciated) They don't have to endorse it, partner it or sponsor it or divert anyone from anything they may be doing already Just make unaware folk aware and what better way than to those interested parties who have signed up to the NFCR newsletter? Considering that NFCR is supposed to be a "partner" with grid.org (Dr. Graham Richards), it's absolutely mind-boggling that they continue to send out stupid stuff like this instead of promoting their own project!!:
----------------------------------------http://www2.nfcr.org/site/PageServer?pagename=research_oxford They can't even get Dr. Richards to make a single post over there on the forums... his information always conveyed by proxy. Those aren't the only issues over there, but I'll keep quiet [Edit 3 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 16, 2007 3:34:05 PM] |

Cheers esoteric17 I had a feeling that this was the case and as we were originally affiliated with grid.org in our first project and the UD agent is sourced from over there they cannot themselves be unaware of what we are achieving over here.
----------------------------------------In the interest of the common goal that we all share it surely would not hurt to give us a mention or 2 or 3 or ..... I've have written many times to the National Foundation for Cancer Research as I'm sure you are aware but the Braised Cabbage made me see red when it turned up in my inbox this evening. I don't believe it I've been nelsoc'ed
----------------------------------------I wasn't mad as heck at all I am furious even more so now It's this kind of watering down of an idea that denies us all success. Frankly how dare they keep us a secret and instead ply us with vitamin recipies. Can someone from IBM get of their behind and make that call. I have done all I can. btw just to clarify what I really did say as heck could be a replacement for anything and I wouldn't want anyone to think I was swearing. I chose my words carefully as ever. There's heaven and there's hell I used the second of these places to describe my fury at the lost opportunity of a braised red cabbage and apple recipe in favour of a link to a project like this that can and will make a difference in the area of research to which the NFCR is involved. I'm sure given everything I have a right to be more than "Mad as Heck" Braised Cabbage Dave just checked out Heck "used as a mild way of expressing annoyance or frustration, or emphasizing a statement" Nope Heck doesn't quite cut it in these circumstance. I really am Mad as [Edit 2 times, last edit by David Autumns at Mar 17, 2007 5:47:31 AM] |

What The Heck.... in Dutch "Wat N Hek?" (What, A Fence?) comes from the inventors of gulf (golf)..... while playing their ball thru the free countryside, they'd follow it wherever landed and sometimes would walk into such an obstruction.... Wat N Hek .... LOL
----------------------------------------Whilst the appearance was random, the strokes were always well directed with heavy slice or draw or hook at the next closest village pub. This is where the english barged in, claimed they invented the game and called the pub a clubhouse where women were segregated from men...... on a shield of one english 'Club'house i saw painted 'dogs allowed' (1993).... anyway..... forever has a the Autumns' clan-leader now associated the Braised Cabbage as served in the Land of Hek (so true)..... not for nothing are the Dutch the tallest of all peoples...... after the Italian Cucina voted the healthiest cuisine.
