I just downloaded the UD client, and everything is OK except for the fact that it constantly seems to think I only have 0.9 GB of hard drive space, which is how much space I have on drive C. However I have much more space than that on drives D,G,H.
I tried uninstalling the client from C, and installed it on H where there is over 40GB of room, however the client still reports back 0.9GB. Any help? |

Hello Elgard,
The UD client is reporting how much disk space you have authorized it to use. The default authorization is 1,000,000,000 bytes ( = 0.98 Gb). You can change this in My Grid - Device Manager - Device Profiles using the drop-down menu ('Hard drive space to allocate?'). Lawrence |

Thanks for that, I had actually created a new profile thinking that might be it, but hadn't actually changed the profile to that from default.
However, I now have another more serious problem, where the agent keeps randomly crashing after about 3-5 minutes of running a project. No error message, no anything, it just disappears...and this happens every time. I've looked in all the help pages and the forums but failed to find mention of a similar problem... |

Go ahead and change that drivespace in the WCG profile to 10Gb. It only uses a little bit, but that helps the scoring.
----------------------------------------I wonder whether 1Gb is causing a limitation that causes the crashes. We may need more information. What does it say after the crash? Two other common causes are excessive overclocking and/or a bad memory stick.

It wasn't a function of the space limitation. I've since figured out that it was just another example of a strange system-wide bug I've recently started experiencing, where if I click on a hyperlink within any application that causes firefox to open up, that original application immediately crashes.
Which makes this a sort of unrelated problem, but if someone has insight into this it would still be really nice ;-) |

Also, check your hard drive file space with Start - Run scandisk C: (assuming that you are running on Drive C).
