Re: results

Check your results status. I believe that if you return enough error results, the number of WUs you can get in a day gets limited. Check the BOINC Agent support forum for this. I believe it's come up there before.

Re: results

That's true. Error results can drop the quota. (check overclocking and test memory chips) Aborting a bunch of workunits can also do the same thing. Eventually, returning clean workunits will allow the quota to go up again.

marysduby,

I checked on this computer and it looks like you have had a string of bad luck. There appears to be certain predictions in the HPF2 code that are causing an error. These occur relatively infrequently so we hadn't identified it yet. We are looking at the problem now. We don't know why your computer in particular has had this error so frequently (noone else has seen it except for once or twice).

I would recommend that you temporarily set that computer to not receive work from HPF2. It appears to be doing fine on other projects.

For everyone else - this is a Windows computer. I suspected what David thought which is why I put the post in the known issues forum (since a number of folks are experiencing the issue). However, when I dug into it this was something else.

Everything seems to be fixed i guess it was the HPF2

Re: results

I have noticed similiar. I assumed different projects will produce results at different rates. Some days I complete fewer results than other days even when my run time is close to 24 hours. It's not really a race. I admire those who have extreme run times of two years!
Cheers from Summerland,
ray
