No work available and daily quota

Hi,

I'm running a Power MAc G4@1.5Ghz and 1.5 Giga of RAM.
I use the Boinc agent on it and work for the HDC project.
I often receive a message that tells me there's no work available right now and another one that tells me I've reach my daily quota of 1 work.

Is that normal ?
I'm running Boinc agent on my PC and never had thoses messages. Neither do I with the WCG agent.

It could well be that your Mac is returning invalid results. Click on My Grid, then Results Status. Look for the results returned by your Mac, and get back to us....

It could well be that your Mac is returning invalid results. Click on My Grid, then Results Status. Look for the results returned by your Mac, and get back to us....


My two last results are invalid. But some before were OK.
My PC is somtimes sending invalid result but never displayed me this message.

How can I correct that ?

If you frequently return invalid results, BOINC will gradually restrict the amount of work you get sent. It's best if you can discover the reason why your results are invalid.

Sadly, I'm not in a position to do any in-depth Mac troubleshooting.

I advise you to send a message to the WCG staff. Information that will help them:

Your BOINC version
Your Computer ID (it's shown near the top of the BOINC message log)
Any information about other software on your computer that might be relevant
Anything unusual about your hardware (describe it as well as you can).

All my errors come from this exceed usage of my disk. Whatever the computer is.
How can I correct that ?

This is likely due to using the Throttle. There is a race condition in the BOINC code that can cause a number of errors to occur if you are using the Throttle. We are working with BOINC now to resolve the problem. The problem is most pronounced on Mac and Linux platforms. At this time we do not recommend using the throttle on Mac or Linux until this issue is resolved.

Correction : since this evening (+1 GMT) all my Macintosh results are invalid and all my PC are not....
I'm working on muscular distrophy on my PC. I'll try Defeat cancer to see if my results are invalid too.
ALl my Macintosh results are caused by :"Maximum disk usage exceeded".

In the message list ; there an interessant line :
[error] process 12923 not found

Le_cornouiller, have u followed the advise from here ? Please confirm your throttle is set at 100% in your BOINC Device profile on the website and the update button in the BOINC agent on the Project Tab was operated to copy the profile setting to your computer!

Muscular Dystrophy is only available on the WCG(UD) agent for Windows. Not on BOINC!

I know that.
On my PC I work for MD with the WGC agent, and sometimes, I work for the HDC program and some other mathematical program with the Boinc agent.
I use my mac for HDC since other program are not available for the Darwin platform.
I've set my throttle up to 100% and update my agent. Have to wait since I've reach my daily quota.

It's strange,n I think alml my results are not all displayed anymore when I want to see them.
I've no more result before the third of march...
