Since switching from Trend Micro to Kapersky I can't get WCG to run. I list it as an allowed function but I get the error message of Agent contacting server to frequently and then the WCG system pauses. Anybody know the secret to getting Kapersky to allow this application?

It's a known issue. Apparently it only affects a very recent version of the program. Hopefully they will fix it, but don't hold your breath.

The secret is reading the 'Start Here' forum post in Antivirus and Firewalls. In a nutshell various fixes in no particular order which could get it to work.
----------------------------------------1. Permit Localhost (127.0.0.1) to talk to the BOINC.exe and BOINCmgr.exe 2. Permit port 31416 for same apps. This port continuously carries communications between GUI, Daemon and Science apps. 3. Permit random port range 1038-5000 to for localhost to connect to same apps mentioned in 1. 4. Permit port 443+80 for apps mentioned in 1 to interact with server.worldcommunitygrid.org and www.worldcommunitygrid.org (IP 129.33.89.133+134) Make sure to only set these permissions else you open the floodgates to the outside world. Another case of Kaspersky problems was added to the list a few days ago.
