How can a person increase the cpu used by World Community Grid Agent...

Hello everyone,

I'm running World Community Grid Agent Version# 3.0 (2844) on my Win XP Pro system. I leave the computer on over night and would like to allocate all the cpu processing power to the Grid. I also go for lunch during the day and would like to do the same on my lunch hour. Is there a way to indicate how much CPU processing power I would like to allocate at any given time? Currently CPU usage is 52% at all times allocated to the Grid.

Thanks to all who reply,

Ismael Tena Jr.

Hello Ismael Tena Jr,
Here is an explanation of the throttle: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=2683#61655

Hope this helps.

Re: How can a person increase the cpu used by World Community Grid Agent...

My own desktop computers are set to 100% for the grid all of the time (24/7).

UD or BOINC run at low priority. It will slow down or stop if anything else needs to run. All remaining computer time gets used, whether I am doing anything else or not.

The throttle is usually only needed for laptops that get too hot at 100% grid use.
