I am seeing the following messages in BOINCMgr.

If it is that WCG is the only one not allowing 5.9, it's probably the Crunch3r product is not supporting secure communications (?) and not endorsed by WCG. Can only recommend to obtain copy from the official site, either 5.4.11 or 5.8.11. Opti's do absolutely nothing for accelerating the science, so what's the point?

If it is that WCG is the only one not allowing 5.9, it's probably the Crunch3r product is not supporting secure communications (?) and not endorsed by WCG. Can only recommend to obtain copy from the official site, either 5.4.11 or 5.8.11. Hello, I guess the BOINC client you are using is requesting for 64-bit work units from WCG. I've been told that WCG applications are not yet coded in 64-bits, only for 32-bit systems. So you need to download/use the recommended Windows version from the BOINC site (which is 32-bit). I tried running the 64-bit before but I re-installed the original BOINC client because as they've said WCG is not yet supported on the 64-bit BOINC client. I'm using BOINC 5.4.11 for Windows. My OS is Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. I had problems when I switched to my present OS while BOINC was still in the middle of two units. But everything's fine now. Some BOINC applications will run on your 64-bit client but you can be sure that WCG will not run at present on that client. cio_redulla  |

A Message from Rom Walton (BOINC Staff) about 5.9.0.
----------------------------------------I need to point out for people that the 5.9 client isn't anywhere near stable. It is still a few months from even begining the testing process. We won't actually start to increment the version of the 5.9.x clints until we think we are done with the feature set and start the stabilization process. So if you are using 5.9 right now, you are using a very unpolished build. Expect that a few things don't work or are only half implemented. ____________ ----- Rom BOINC Development Team, U.C.
