Hi there Triviani,
----------------------------------------After "it does not want to speak to me" (just kidding), it is the most reported issue / observation of members (old and new btw). The Start Here: Community-maintained FAQs [read only] forum is the place to go and what u see is related to Project Checkpoint Saving. There is a large post describing this and how best to minimize or avoid it. It's not difficult but different for each of the WCG projects. cheers

----------------------------------------Are you running both BOINC for SETI and UD for the WCG? If this is the case this may be the root of your problem as the UD client will take twice as long as usual to get to the first checkpoint (The point in the progress where the result so far is saved to your disk) which will unfortunately mean that it will revert back to to 0 the time of the last result on the drive. Give SETI a break ET will phone home if he/she is out there and let the UD Client run a while or you could subscribe to both the SETI Project and the World Community Grid through BOINC and get the best of both Worlds Happy Crunching Get back to us if you need any further help Dave ![]() |

I think i found one solution (yes, i use both). I put control panel and power options that one mark and it save all mine current work when computer is closed. Will c if it work. If not, then i put both at BOINC.

Buon Giorno Triviani,
----------------------------------------Ho aumentato il messaggio per Checkpointing. Sono stessi per BOINC anche per il cliente di UD. Sospendi del sistema operativo è il metodo ottimale per riprendervi un lavoro ha fatto una pausa esso prima. L'inglese non è semplice.... troppi omofoni :) a presto PS: The native merken/english speakers will start to complain soon.... it's 'their' world community forum LOL

I, for one, enjoy seeing a reply to a query in another language. I may not know exactly what it means, but it stimulates my brain to learn something different. Once I have given it a try I usually rely on babelfish for the translation, although that sometimes gives some weird looking translations, but good enough to get the idea.
----------------------------------------To those whose english is not good, keep trying we appreciate your efforts. Sekerob is right - english has many homophones which can be confusing, for example disease and decease. I have said enough, I will now desist. Cheers Sgt. Joe Minnesota Crunchers

Was a guess since u did not specify the country in your forum profile....could have been Hungarian too (related to Finnish i think)
----------------------------------------Long as u exit the agent After a checkpoint u should be fine or adopt the hibernation method and never loose a second.
