Why Did I Get a Project that requires higher sys requirements?

Hi, I'm new to the WCG Project, and not sure this is the right forum, but when I signed up I specifically requested 2 projects I knew my computer could handle. Now I'm running one that needs a faster more powerful computer. The website said that I would not be getting projects that required more than I've got right now. What happened? I don't want to delay a project due to my "inferior" 'puter. Thanks.

Re: Why Did I Get a Project that requires higher sys requirements?

Hello mcking52,
The first work unit is downloaded as soon as you install the WCG client. Later downloads should all be from the projects you select in My Grid - My Projects. Please tell me if something different is happening.

Tend to agree with u considering that the very first of the new enrollment pages actually permits the pre-selection of projects one wants to participate in, even before the software download.

Can you report the specifications of your PC: CPU speed and RAM size and which project u received u did not select.

cheers
