Howdy head scavenger.
I've not posted in a while so thought I'd drop by just to let you know I'm still reading your stats posts now and then. I seem to have picked up a gold badge somewhere along the way, and from "my grid" I can see there's another three due in the next few weeks.  Hopefully DDT will be back on it's feet by then, and if so I'll switch to it exclusively for a few weeks to help the boffins get back on track after their setback. |

Beta has just started for a new project coming soon.As for DDD-T, their lab in Galveston survived, but they are helping some of the OTHER buildings recover. We don't know when the project will resume, but it will. an unusual day...in the top 50 for run time, but not as many points for it as two days ago Now that Rice has extended to 10 hours, is the 'points per hour' the same? I have reluctantly dropped it off my list of projects as it is dragging down my good boxes and now even the lesser kit is doing the rest in the same sort of timescales as the new Rice modules. Same here, because it cuts my result count. Points per hour for rice should be the same. Personally, I think it's all about the points per day. The results per day and run-time per day are pretty useless statistics when several different types of machine are use. Surely the research is the priority here... certainly more important than how high a fairly arbitrary statistic is such the results per calendar day. Just my two pence  |

It was a holdover from the UD days, and BOINC RAC is multiplied by 7 as a conversion. It is in doubt as to whether the old UD points will even be retained, except as history. My ranks are all slipping because of so many core 2 duos out there now. When AMD gets the speed up on their quad cores, perhaps I'll get one. First beta WU errored out after 10hrs so no credit this time, ah well thems the breaks with Betas I suppose. On the bright side, I just snagged a shiny new beta unit, so they must run like buses.
Your Andrew Jackson tokens may come into use again real soon, so I'd hang onto them. |
