...well unless Intel bring out some new processors this year that look to be obscenely good value.  |

A rest from the rest of us? We are doing what we can. It was a bit cheeky of me I suppose. I'm lucky in that I am a consultant and my job encourages me to have lots of hardware in my office of decent spec to do development and testing on and since I build and control it I can stick the Grid on it all without any complaints. Also means all the family machines run the Grid as the price for having me look after them.  |

I noticed Fraz is still beating you on points. I know, it's his uber-Cray that he runs, I'm amazed it took him as long as it did to sweep past me but at least I will have the crunching time lead for a while. If only those chaps at Camelot could pick the right 6 numbers - it's not rocket science!!!  |

I know, it's his uber-Cray that he runs, I'm amazed it took him as long as it did to sweep past me but at least I will have the crunching time lead for a while. Yup, that machine is pretty much all I've got running right now, so I think you might well be gaining on me once more. I did have a rather nice 8 core 16 thread box at work, but after a disk died, I can't seem to get Boinc to install on it anymore. Have two other 2.8 GHz dual cores but they are both nearly 4 years old now and barely produce 10k points between them. Gone are the days of getting a million points in just over a week!
