Ah Dave.... u like fast credit than don't u...... hooked on points than after all

LOFRMHO

Added: More seriously, asked a few questions earlier and on the 'all over the place' probably the fitting part of the answer from Kevin was: "for most workunits the # of structures attempted will be the same for all results (because in most cases the number attempted will equal number actually computed). It is only when the logic within Rosetta decides to abandon an attempt and move on to the next one that you will get more attempts than the number computed which only occurs on particularly 'hard' genes."

Nah it's wonderful boinc doing it's thing if it downloads a WU with a report deadline earlier than the one is currently running it put's that on hold until it can deal with what it considers more pressing matters

there's some older, but newer, batches being fed through the system.

It's just me having a dig that knreed is making my BOINC crunchers look untidy biggrin

David,

With the beta tests I'm not surprised you are seeing a collection of workunits with varying deadlines. The beta tests usually have deadlines of 3 days. Right now FAAH, HDC and GC have deadlines of 8 days. HPF2 has a deadline of 10 days. If you get a few of each of these that would definitely make BOINC start rearranging the work schedule so that each workunit will make its deadline.

I'll try to come up with some clever was to make your computers more 'untidy' wink

Re: LOL knreed these Work Units are all over the place biggrin

Kevin I wonder if you could get to the bottom of an issue I have had for a while now on boinc

All of my BOINC Crunchers are set to the same default profile which is now set to collect 5 days worth of WU for that rainy day

however this one myonline.myonlinespace.com is stubbornly refusing to down load more than a days worth

I've no idea why but as I say it's been like that for a long time pre the 5.8.8 it is running at the moment.

I just wonder if you could have a look under the bonnet for me

Thanks

Dave

Re: LOL knreed these Work Units are all over the place biggrin

Nothing obvious in the info on my side of the pond. I would recommend that you first install 5.8.11 or higher and then see what happens. If that doesn't resolve it then send me your client_state.xml file, the last request and response files for communicating with us, and a copy of your messages logs for the past while.

thanks,
Kevin
