Att Admin: Newbie vs Member

I am a little confused at the present time as I have reached MEMBER status in the forums by exceeding 54 posts, only to be regelated to NEWBIE with 34 posts.

Have 20 of my posts been removed or is there a glitch in the forum database

Just a small point, however could you explain this to me

Regards

Re: Att Admin: Newbie vs Member

You are pretty dedicated posting on Christmas morning.

(I am not dedicated, just bored waiting for the children to wake up and start rending open gifts wink )

Anyway, it is a bug in the WCG site. When you login in tothe web page, your username is not validated in a case sensitive way, but the forums track your post count in a case sensitive way.

This time you logged in as "Graham" (Upper case G) Other times you have logged in as "graham" (lower case G) The stats knows it's you either way, the forum thinks you are two different members.
Graham has 34 posts
graham has 54 posts

You can verify this by using the search function
http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/search
and searrching for posts by "Graham" and for those by "graham"

It is an unfortunate bug, you should be shown with all 88 of your posts, that much closer to the 100 required to be an "Advanced Member"

Hi Joatman

It appears you are absolutely correct

My profile said (Graham) and I was signing in as (graham)

I have adjusted my profile now so that they both match

However is there any way that I can get them both consolidated to reflect my total postings

Should i send an Email to ADMIN or do you think that they are to busy to worry about such a minor thing

Thanks

Graham, it is a trivial thing to be a NEWBIE.I,myself will be a newbie for a long time. However, don't ever let someone label you or anyone else, a Cracker, unless in jest, as it considered a LIBELOUS crime in many southern states in the US.[equal to using the "N" word outside o' th' HOOD]
wink Merry Christmas Y'ALL

Hi ZeroeZslash94

Thanks for bringing this to my attention

The member who posted this thread has offended many loyal members of these forums including myself and he is presently skating on thin ice

I believe a decision is being made as to his future standing in these forums by the Community Admin

It will be interesting to see if this controversial member gets his marching orders

As you can see, he caused me to retaliate, which is not in my nature, but some people can bring out the worst in all of us, would you not agree

I felt compelled to apologise to the members here for dragging myself down to the same level

Best regards

Graham - we know about this bug but it is lower on the priority list then other changes. For example we are working on changing the way you set your device profile so that you can schedule the agent to run from 6PM - 6AM the following morning. This should be out later this week.

Please let us know about bugs that you find - I just can't promise how quickly they will be resolved (serious ones get fixed fast - minor ones get fixed slower).

Can I assume this will be rectified when you have the time to address it and will my posts be consilidated at that time

With Thanks
