When trying to promote this project...

It is very useful for you to add a link like this one (where ACS announced it has joined):

http://www.cancer.org/docroot/SPC/content/SPC_1_World_Community_Grid.asp

or this one (Harvard Engineering):

http://www.deas.harvard.edu/press/release_worldgrid.html

I think such external linkage does a lot of explaining and also overcomes people's concerns about fraud, spyware, etc.

I'm sure there are other external announcement links, depending on the partner and the project.

Re: When trying to promote this project...

I think a whitepaper from a Network/Sys admin at IBM (with a link on the WCG homepage) addressing any/all security questions would help quash some companies' paranoia. Just my two cents. It took a bit of convincing on my part before my boss allowed the agent on our LAN. A whitepaper would've helped.
