To recover your member name, open the World Community Grid software agent and you will see your member name in the upper right hand corner next to "Name:". If you use BOINC, your member name is shown in the "Account" column of the Project tab. If you no longer have the client installed and attached to WCG, you can recover your member name by going here: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/login/forgotMemberName.do and entering the same email address you used to register with World Community Grid. **

To recover your password, go to the following page: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/login/forgotPassword.do and enter your member name.

Password recovery is via challenge phrase or email. You can change this preference here: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/login/viewRecoveryOption.do

If you email the password to yourself, then it will be sent to the email address in your profile, here: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyProfile.do .

Please verify that your email address is correct in your member profile. To do this, simply sign in to the Member Area, go to My Profile, correct your email address (if necessary), and press save.

Several times per week our support mailbox receives password recovery emails that inform us that a member was trying to recover a password but that the email was blocked. If you have a spam blocker, please add worldcommunitygrid.org to your list of allowed senders.

As part of password recovery.... if you forget your challenge phrase or if you do not have an email address (or a valid email address) in your member profile, you will have to reinstall the World Community Grid software to a new member name.

NB: ** If you have forgotten your member name and email address, we can usually help you work out your member name. Just ask on the Website Support forum, and we will do our best.
