Rick, if u have no work at all from WCG, go to the Projects tab, select WCG and hit the Reset button. There is some ado about the Duration Correction Factor and it getting inflated to some excessive number stopping work received, but if work buffer is empty it's not likely. For that visit the client_state.xml file and see what it is. If u have any other DC's to your BOINC attached, u could suspend them in the projects tab and see what happens.
----------------------------------------If for BOINC u selected a single project, and u have not ticked the alternate work tab, u would not get any work if the primary is depleted. The entries in the message tab, would though expressly tell u. Not likely though....the pre holiday events and the lower production thru jan 5 would have allowed for stocks to build upo. My last batch of 10 received was at 14:49 UTC on Jan 8... mix of 3 projects, FAAH, HDC and GC. As for hitting project update, the message u posted is the most common. Often the work fetch starts 10 minutes later, whilst BOINC makes up its mind. There is always the possibility that u hit the "Do not fetch work" accidentally in the projects tab...... then simply report back that a miracle happened and work started to trickle again (done it myself! ;>) cheers

Everything working fine here in Maryland, USA. I was also a bit concerned as I didn't appear to be receiving new WUs, however I just check and have a new one as of 8 minutes ago.

Hello popandbob, When one of my systems starts acting squirrelly, I usually reboot. Just one of my superstitions. Lawrence i think i was something todo with the 5.8.0 boinc... it was running benchmarks a lot and i noticed a new version out.... so I dunno how it will respond. |
