some how i have managed to get 2 work units the same should i abort one of them or just crunch both ? (currently both suspended) please advise

Are these both FCG WU's? I think there's another digit after the second underscore. If so, then these may actually be different WUs.

Yes, I've noticed there is a glitch in the work unit names. I shouldn't worry about it. I'll ask the techs when they get back to work.

I'll ask the techs when they get back to work. work units expire 01/02/2007 03:13:07 would techs be back by then ?? Are these both FCG WU's? I think there's another digit after the second underscore. If so, then these may actually be different WUs. one is _0 and other one is _1 |

i thought the idea of a quorum of 3 was so they are able to verify results from 3 different computers
crunching the same work unit on the same comp 3 times should get the same results which i dont believe verifies result as required by a quorum of 3 |

I've requested that this be looked into. Don't expect an immediate answer. WCG staff do check the forums every day, but they deserve a rest as much as the rest of us.

Hello,
From my understanding of the problem, members are getting more than one work unit on the same host. Also, this appears to have started since the reboot of our BOINC server when it was having trouble. I have asked two of the guys that work on BOINC to look into this. They will look into this. Also, thank you for bringing this to our attention. -Uplinger |
