Good morning again and posting same as in the Chat Room
Two hundred years ago, the organizers of the Tour de France took riders high into mountains for the very first time. And, from there, the mystique of the Tour de France grew and grew. To commemorate this occasion, a group of modern day riders retraced the same route through the Pyrenees, which includes some legendary climbs: the Col de Peyresourde, the Col d’Aspin, the Col du Tourmalet, the Col du Soulor, etc. The weather conditions are slightly tough for these riders, but their bikes are light and modern, and the gearing much more forgiving than what their forebears had. Meanwhile the film documenting their ride is a pleasure to watch. The runtime is about 15 minutes. The 1910 Challenge The centenary of the Col du Tourmalet's inclusion in the Tour de France will be celebrated with a mountain-top finish on stage 17 of this year's edition of the race. As well as the special edition Tourmalet Jersey, Rapha honour the first ever Tour stage that tackled the Tourmalet with a tribute ride, The 1910 Challenge ![]() Join For little Jake, and others. ![]() |

Hi Merle. We're all not too bad. I'm still a bit busy, but we're both off to New Wine at the begining of August.

Hello everyone!!!! I hope all is well. We had a pretty bad storm yesterday afternoon. Lots of trees and branches down causing power outages. We still have no power, it's been out for about 16 hours so far. But at least no one was hurt by the storm. See you later.

I'm glad that everyone's safe Chris. We've got a bit of a heatwave down here, which is NOT good when you have to work in an engineering machine shop.
I expect we'll get the storms next week, as we are due to go camping ![]() |
