A small idea popped into my mind.
Why not ecourage members to recruit new ones by giving out a certain amount of ranking points for each new member that is recruited and he/she types in your name as a recomender in the registration. I'm sure many of you've seen the concept before. I´m pretty new here so im not sure if this is relevant or have already been implemented but I haven't seen anything about it but I'm fairly lazy so I cant give myself credit for a thorough search. Plz be patient with my noobiness/lazyness //Boven |

I would suggest posting in peer2peer software forums to recruit new people.
Why peer2peer? because these are very long running software which eats few CPU, and there are millions of them on the internet. Boinc should be integrated inside Emule, and you would get millions of people... Just an idea... |

Know what you are talking about and it's been discussed. From experience, not certain how one could identify a legit download from a tampered version. Particular where BOINC (and eMule) is open source, I'd not trust such a downloaded version. There are loads of rouges and bogus participants on these networks planting contaminated materials.
