I believe the short answer is: Grid.org is for PROFIT. worldcommunitygrid.org for for NON-PROFIT.
The work between the two websites is NOT related. |

Hello Jon Bahen,
grid.org and the World Community Grid are two different organizations running different distributed computer projects. Neither organization is running for a profit. You can see a list of all the public distributed computer projects here: http://distributedcomputing.info/projects.html Lawrence |

The Grid.org project is a long running one based on science from Oxford University. The WCG one is entirely different and works with real cancer samples which are being indexed and analyzed to develop a vast library of data that can by used to perform rapid diagnostics and made available to the global oncology world..... no determination of type of C and developing treatment over weeks or months, but one that can accurately put that together in a matter of hours/days.... time is of the essence and the optimized treatment from the outset even more so.
