Hi, as an artist using informations to model forms with computer programming (processing, python), i would have to know if there was any way to get vars from the users database, to build my own visual agent using WCG datas.
In another way, is there any issue to get for example any userName.points or userName.rank string var from the WCG user database in realtime over the network ? Thanx for any answer... |

The short answer is: no.
The long answer is: what projects are you interested in? Which agent do you want to target? Rosetta (HPF2) is developed by (IIRC) NYU and Baker Labs. You may be able to get additional information from them, or the Rosetta@Home project. Autodock (FAAH) is (again, IIRC) developed by Scripps. Both Rosetta and Autodock may very possibly use some form of standard file format for molecular representations. This will need some research. The raw HDC image file is available as a PNG file. (Only in BOINC; UD encrypts all files, whether there is any point or not.) You can view it with any image viewer. GC stores the current strings and search information in a couple of files. It would be trivial to extract this if you wanted to. |

I think that some user information is available for BOINC users (in XML) but I have never bothered to read up on this. Didactylos knows a lot more about the BOINC system than I do.
