Anyone here knows if there is a deeper project in this partial area of investigation? I guess that these bio-markers and proteins are the key to finish with the cancer. I do suggest to scientists to go further this area... |

the projects rosetta@home (boinc) and folding@home (non boinc) both concentrate on preoteins and one of their goals is fighting cancer by proteins

And let's not forget our very own Human Proteome Folding project. Phase 2 is studying in detail certain malaria and human secreted proteins. I wouldn't be surprised if this included the biomarkers you mention. I understand that other researchers work closely with the HPF scientists, suggesting protein domains that will be useful to study.

Hello maltimir,
One set of proteins that HPF2 is working on consists of cancer bio-markers whose structure has not been measured in the lab. You might want to look over all the distributed computer projects in the life sciences: http://distributedcomputing.info/projects.html Lawrence |
