It seems to be a good idea to me if the WCG can introduce itself to universities or corporation worldwide. They have got heaps of computers in their computer pools running simply only office work and internet browsing 24/7, which is obviosly a waste of resources. If WCG can utilize them, it would be a strong boost of the performance of the grid! I guess the PR department should make it happen. Furthermore, with the back up of those corporations and uni, it would help the reputation of the grid, which can certainly help promoting it.

I strongly agree with you. I have a son that is in his second year at a small midwestern (US) college that hesitates to join the WCG because of all of the rules imposed on campus networks after the music file-sharing lawsuits. |
