Emmm, title doesn't really describe my question, but when my computer is almost entirely idle, the world comunity grid agent only uses about 60% of my proccessing power and about 400mbs of my 2gigs of ram, also I updated my profile online to allow it to use 10gigs of space on my hard drive but the program itself hasn't updated. Is there anyway I can get it to use more of my system?

Okkio, u may want to visit the Start Here: Community-maintained FAQs [read only] forum and look for a post mentioning Throttle Feature. That should get you on the road to 100% utilization when your machine is idle.

UD (the WCG agent) installs with a throttle preset to 60%. You can adjust that up to 100% from info here.
You might consider installing BOINC instead of UD. BOINC has features UD does not have, eg. better error reporting and ability to use more than 1 core/CPU. It seems WCG is on their way to making BOINC their standard agent. UD is closed source and hasn't been updated in over a year. BOINC is open source and constantly being improved. Also, BOINC earns a few more points than UD does, unless you run Linux, though they say that issue will be fixed soon too. --- |

----------------------------------------Just to complete, if u go to the Graphics screen of the UD Agent  almost all projects on UD show the throttle percentage somewhere at the bottom:Help Defeat Cancer (HDC) Human Proteome Folding Phase 2 (HPF2) The oldest running project Fight AIDS @ Home (FA@H) does not. This one was started before the throttle feature was introduced. It is presumed that Genome Comparison (GC) once it's also going life on UD agent will also have this indication. cheers
